NDA Aids Kaduna Communities with free medical services, 2 boreholes

The 68 Regular Course Army of Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has organized a free medical service in Akupal Community in Zangon Kataf Local government, Kaduna State.
The annual exercise is to be part of the final outdoor exercise camp highland of the NDA attracted more than a thousand beneficiaries for the outreach being anchored by medical doctors in different areas of specialization.
Apart from free diagnosis and treatment, the Defence Academy also presented several items to deserving residents. The items include wheelchairs, walking sticks, medical eyeglasses, treated nets, among others.

Speaking at the inauguration of the outreach, the acting commander of NDA Hospital stated that, “we are targeting over 1000 People for the medical”.
Flagging-off the exercise which includes the commissioning of 2 Mono Boreholes constructed by NDA at Unguwan Bala and Unguwan Yawa, the Major-Gen. IM Yusuf explained that the outreach was aimed at cementing the relationship between NDA and the civil populace.
He further said that the exercise was part of activities lined up for exercise camp highland for 68 regular courses of the NDA.
He said that the Nigerian military pays due attention to the security and health well-being of members of its host community, which encompasses all Areas of Responsibility (AOR).
“The free and comprehensive healthcare as it targets all, but most especially the less privileged and indigents in these communities, would reduce the health burden of the beneficiaries and communities at large,’’ he said.
Representative of the overseer of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area (LGA), Mr Philip Galadima, appreciated the Academy for the great opportunity to access quality healthcare and other health consumables at no cost provided to the people.
He said, “we are sincerely grateful to the NDA for the huge amount of money they had spent in putting this very elaborate medical outreach together”.
Also speaking, Yohana Sidi Kukah the Traditional Ruler of Ikulu Community, equally thanked NDA for initiating the free and comprehensive medical service to the doorsteps of his subjects and other neighbouring communities.
The traditional father who was represented by Nikolas Kaduna said, “We will continue to pray for the success of NDA.
While one of the beneficiaries simply identified as Mrs Deborah Dogo who got a wheel Chairs also appreciated and thanked the Academy for the Gift.
She said, “God will continue to bless the Nigerian Defence Academy and members of their families as they have decided to remember us today’’.
