Kelechi Ndukwe, a Nigerian-American hailing from Abia State, has reached another historic milestone in his distinguished career with the U.S. Navy. After becoming the first Nigerian-American to command a guided-missile destroyer, the USS Haisey, Ndukwe has now been promoted to Commodore, a position in which he will lead Destroyer Squadron 60 and Task Force 65 in Spain, overseeing multiple warships and their operations.
