Nigerian Army Rescues Abducted Persons in Successful Raid on Terrorists’ Hideout in Kebbi

In a joint operation, the troops of 8 Division, Nigerian Army, in collaboration with Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) operatives and local vigilantes, have carried out a successful raid on a terrorists’ camp in Kebbi state.

The operation, conducted in the early hours of January 23, 2024, at Sabon Gari Village in Shanga Local Government Area, resulted in the rescue of four abducted persons and the recovery of arms and ammunition.

During the raid, one terrorist was neutralised, and the troops successfully extricated four kidnap victims. Additionally, the security forces recovered three AK-47 rifles, three magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition, and two pairs of camouflage uniforms from the terrorists’ hideout.

All the rescued victims have been safely reunited with their families, and the troops are actively pursuing the wounded and fleeing terrorists to maintain security and prevent any potential threat.
