NNPC GCEO Ojulari Outlines Path to 3 Million Barrels Target, Receives SPE Leadership Award
At the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Headquarters in Abuja, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, delivered a keynote address at the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) 2026 Oloibiri Lecture and Energy Forum (OLEF).
The forum was themed “Beyond the Three Million Barrels Target: Harmonizing Digitization, Capital, and Policy Framework for Intelligent Operations and Asset Optimization.”
Ojulari, who was represented by the Executive Vice President, Upstream of NNPC Limited, Udy Ntia, stated that efficiency, security, and intelligence-driven operations remain critical pillars for achieving Nigeria’s three million barrels per day crude oil production target.
He emphasized the need for stronger integration of digital technologies, investment capital, and coherent policy frameworks to enhance operational performance and optimize oil and gas assets across the country.
In recognition of his contributions to the petroleum industry, the NNPC GCEO was also honoured with the SPE Senior Industry Ambassador Legacy of Leadership Award.
The event brought together key stakeholders in Nigeria’s energy sector to discuss strategies for improving production capacity and ensuring sustainable growth in the upstream oil and gas industry.
