Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze and his wife, Stephanie Promise Ikedieze, have sparked mixed reactions on social media following the release of a comedy skit perceived to parody online appeals for medical donations.

The skit surfaced shortly after controversial influencer Blessing CEO disclosed that she is battling stage 4 cancer and sought financial assistance from the public.

In the viral clip, Stephanie portrayed a character acting as though she was deaf, mute, and blind, while Ikedieze encouraged viewers to send money to their account, a performance many online users interpreted as a satirical take on donation campaigns.

The video quickly drew attention across social media platforms, with reactions sharply divided. While some viewers described the skit as harmless comedy and consistent with the actor’s style, others criticised its timing and tone, arguing that it appeared insensitive given ongoing real-life appeals for medical support.

Neither Ikedieze nor his wife has publicly addressed the backlash as of the time of filing this report.
