NSCDC Borno Command Receives Modern Operational Gadgets to Boost Security Operations
The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Borno State Command, Ahmad Bello Gaya, has officially launched and distributed a range of modern operational gadgets to personnel to enhance frontline security operations.
The equipment, procured by the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja under the leadership of Ahmed Abubakar Audi, was unveiled at the Command’s headquarters as part of efforts to strengthen operational intelligence and improve efficiency.
Items distributed include all-in-one operational kits equipped with mini tablets, solar panels, mini inverters, wireless accessories, and stylus pens. Other equipment comprises Mavic 3E DJI drones, rain boots, stun guns, pepper spray, mini HD video cameras, operational boots, uniforms, helmets, and binoculars.
Speaking during the event, Commandant Gaya described the gadgets as critical tools designed to enhance effectiveness and professionalism in the discharge of duties. He urged officers and men of the command to utilise the equipment responsibly in safeguarding lives and property across the state.
Following his remarks, the Command’s Public Relations Officer conducted a practical demonstration on the usage of the gadgets, after which symbolic distribution was carried out among personnel.
The Commandant expressed appreciation to the NSCDC leadership for the initiative, noting that the provision of modern tools reflects a strong commitment to strengthening the operational capacity of the Corps nationwide.
The deployment of the new gadgets is expected to boost morale among personnel and significantly improve the command’s response to security challenges in Borno State.
