The roadmap was presented during a high-level meeting with senior officers at the start of his second tenure, outlining a vision for a more professional, innovative, and responsive organisation.

Reflecting on his first tenure, Audi highlighted key initiatives introduced to expand the Corps’ operational reach, including the Female Strike Force, Safe School Initiative, Mining Marshal, and the Special Intelligence Squad. He noted that these programmes have significantly enhanced the Corps’ role in critical areas of national security.

He also emphasised efforts to improve staff welfare and implement institutional reforms, which have contributed to higher morale and a more structured system for training and career progression within the agency.

Looking ahead, the Commandant General stressed the need for technology-driven operations, noting that evolving security challenges require intelligence-led approaches. He said increased deployment of modern technology would improve efficiency while reducing risks faced by personnel during operations.

As part of this drive, operational gear, surveillance equipment, and technological tools were distributed to commands across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to boost readiness and enhance service delivery.

Audi expressed appreciation to Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his reappointment and continued support for the Corps, particularly in the areas of technological advancement and institutional development.

He reaffirmed that his second tenure would prioritise professionalism, discipline, and accountability, while strengthening public trust in the NSCDC’s mandate to protect critical national assets and infrastructure.

The initiative signals a renewed commitment to building a technologically advanced and forward-looking security organisation capable of addressing Nigeria’s evolving security challenges.
