Osun Amotekun assures residents of maximum security, urges residents to stay calm

Osun Amotekun Corps has reiterated its commitment to ensure adequate safety and security of lives and properties following the conclusion of the recent Local Government Elections in the state.
In a statement issued to journalists in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Tuesday, Dr. Adekunle Omoyele, who is the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, emphasized that there is no cause for panic concerning the current security situation in the state as he further assured residents of the State of the readiness of Amotekun Corps who is on high alert, prepared to swiftly address any attempts to disrupt the current peace of the state.
Dr. Omoyele urged all residents to remain vigilant and proactive in maintaining the safety of their various communities by promptly reporting any security threats to the Amotekun Corps or other relevant security agencies.
He underscored that the security of Osun State’s inhabitants remains non-negotiable, and the Amotekun Corps is resolute in its mission to prevent and respond to any form of criminal activity or violence.
The Corps Commander made it clear that any individuals found engaging in violent or unlawful acts will face immediate arrest and prosecution in accordance with the law.
He further advised anyone contemplating such acts to desist immediately, stressing that the Amotekun Corps will not hesitate to take necessary actions to maintain order and protect the state.
The Amotekun Commander noticed people’s apprehension to the massive influxes of policemen in every places in Osun State.
“That should not constitute threat or panic to the citizens, they are only sent for a specific purposes. The Osun Amotekun Corps will continue to ensure complete peace and security for all residents, promising that the safety of the people will continue to be a top priority of the security outfit”, Dr Omoyele concluded.
