Osun APC Chairman Calls for Urgent Revitalization of Party in Obokun, Oriade LGAs

The Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, has bemoaned the current state of the party in Obokun and Oriade Local Government Council Areas of the state, observing the urgent need for its revitalization in the constituencies.
Lawal who made this remark when he led the party’s sensitization team from the state to the two local government councils stated that his observation pointed to the fact that all the stakeholders of the party need a lot of reconciliation job to do before life can be injected into the party in the areas.
The state APC chairman tasked the leaders of the party in the two local government councils to take charge with a view to dispassionately discharging their leadership roles in order for the party to move ahead.
Lawal explained that it would not be in the best interest of the party for its stakeholders in the affected local government council areas to pretend that all is well with the party in the areas.
In Obokun, the state party chairman who led the team comprising the state Secretary of the party, Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru; the state Treasurer, Hon Femi Kujembola; the other state executive officers of the party and some other stakeholders of the party in the state, told the feuding leaders of the party to sink their differences in the overall interest of the party and the members.
He tasked the leaders of the party in the two local government councils to urgently reach out to the disenchanted members of the party in their respective areas and embark on a reconciliation mission that would assuage the youths, the women, members and supporters of the party.
Lawal disclosed that whoever wants to reap from the party must be prepared to prove his mettle by working assiduously for it as the era of imposition of candidates in the party has been consigned into the dustbin of history.
He enjoined all the stakeholders of the party to come together and imbibe the spirit of love, forgiveness, and dedication with a view to working together for the party as a team.
In Lawal’s words: “If truly we profess to love the party, it’s incumbent on all the stakeholders to shop for all available means to attract unity and oneness into it as no venture can thrive in a rancorous environment.
“A house divided against itself will find it difficult to stand. Put an end to the self-destruction of our dear party to enable us to return to the Bola Ige House, Abere, in 2026.
“The leaders should be transparent and run an all-inclusive administration of the party from the unit to the state level in the overall interest of the party, the members and supporters”, the state APC chairman counselled.
Earlier, some of the designated stakeholders of the party in the two local government council areas had stated the state and challenges facing the party in their respective constituencies.
