Osun Gov commends SAGA Foundation for Multi-Billion Naira medical equipment donation

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has praised the SAGA Foundation, led by Shola Agboola, for its generous contribution of multi-billion naira worth of medical equipment and supplies to Ede Community.

The Governor expressed his commendation during the official launching of the medical equipment at Springfield Development Foundation, Hospital Road, Ede.

Represented by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Governor Adeleke highlighted the unique support the SAGA Foundation has received from the Osun State Government. He assured the foundation of continued support, emphasizing that Osun will stand by SAGA in its endeavours.

Rev. Jenyo also appealed to the SAGA Foundation to provide technicians who can assist the State Government in maintaining the substantial equipment, reinforcing SAGA’s mission.

Chairman of the Hospital Management Board, Dr Kingsley Akinroye, expressed gratitude to SAGA’s CEO, Mr Shola Agboola, for supporting healthcare services in Ila and Ede communities. Dr. Akinroye urged the foundation for further assistance and assured that Osun State Hospital in Ede would effectively utilize the medical equipment.

In his address, Shola Agboola, the founder of the SAGA Foundation, clarified that the organization is a non-profit dedicated to making positive impacts in the lives of those in need. He shared SAGA’s mission of providing essential medical equipment and supplies across Africa and supporting education with supplies and computers for enhanced learning.

Hon. (Dr)Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), represented by Engr. Yakubu Bassi praised Shola Agboola as an illustrious son of Osun State and a patriotic Nigerian in the diaspora.

He assured the SAGA Foundation of NIDCOM’s full support for future humanitarian projects.

Engr. Bassi implored the management and staff of the General Hospital in Ede to make judicious use of the equipment for national development. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of donation to Governor Adeleke and Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal for the benefit of the communities and humanitarian purposes.

Among dignitaries present at the event were:  the Ooni of Ife,  Oba Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, represented by Oba Abdulyeken Sakariyau   Fakowajo; Commissioner for Health, Barr. Jola Akintola and the Chairman of the Primary Health Care Development Board, Alhaji Teju Adisa.
