President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a firm “zero-tolerance” stance against violent non-state actors, announcing a massive ₦5.41 trillion allocation for Defence and Security in the 2026 Appropriation Bill.
The President made this known as part of the Federal Government’s renewed commitment to safeguarding lives, property, and national sovereignty amid evolving security challenges across the country. The proposed allocation represents one of the most significant investments in the security sector in recent years, underscoring the administration’s resolve to decisively confront terrorism, banditry, insurgency, and other forms of violent crime.
