Senegal’s President, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, has announced generous rewards for members of the national football team, the Teranga Lions, and officials of the Senegalese Football Federation in recognition of their achievements and service to the nation.

Under the presidential gesture, each Teranga Lions player is to receive 75 million FCFA and a 1,500 square metre plot of land in Dakar. Members of the Senegalese Football Federation were also rewarded with 50 million FCFA each and a 1,000 square metre plot of land.
Other members of the official delegation were not left out, as they were granted 20 million FCFA and 500 square metres of land each.
The rewards have been widely praised as a demonstration of President Faye’s commitment to youth empowerment, sports development, and national motivation. Observers say the move reflects the leadership style of the young president, who has consistently emphasized recognising excellence and investing in the future of Senegal’s youth.
