Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface recovers from groin Injury after successful surgery

Victor Boniface, Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker, has undergone a successful surgery, and will now begin rehabilitation on his groin injury.
The Bayer Leverkusen striker, was excluded from Nigeria’s 2023 AFCON squad on Tuesday due to an injury sustained during the training camp in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

“Victor Boniface was successfully operated today in Berlin. The striker will return to Leverkusen later this week to start his rehabilitation process,” the club shared on X.
Leverkusen had earlier announced that the player would be out of action until April.
He has been replaced in Nigeria’s squad for AFCON 2023 by OGC Nice of France star, Terem Moffi.
