The announcement was made by Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mike Dio Jen, who reaffirmed Governor Agbu Kefas’ administration’s commitment to advancing the state’s education sector.
Dr. Jen explained that the funds would allow institutions to organize formal convocation events where graduating students receive their certificates and outstanding performers are honored with awards for academic excellence.
“The Governor is committed to ensuring that our students not only graduate but are celebrated for their achievements. This funding will allow our institutions to hold convocation ceremonies that reflect the dignity and importance of academic success,” Dr. Jen stated.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen education, motivate students, and recognize academic accomplishments across Taraba State.
