Governor Agbu Kefas announced the initiative while addressing officials during the launch of the distribution exercise in the state.
The governor explained that the machines would enhance the capacity of enrollment centres across Taraba State, making it easier for residents to register for the National Identification Number (NIN) and improving the overall coverage of the national identity database.
Earlier in the day, the state government also inaugurated the UMCN and GMCN Reconciliation Committee as well as the Taraba Peace Committee as part of broader efforts to promote unity and stability in the state.
Governor Kefas urged members of the newly inaugurated committees to carefully examine all areas of concern and work towards ensuring lasting peace across Taraba State.
