The warning was conveyed by the President’s Special Adviser on Political and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Ya’u Darazo, during a news conference. According to Mr. Darazo, the President expects all political office holders to uphold the dignity and integrity of their offices by prioritising their assigned duties and avoiding actions that could distract from effective governance.
He stressed that the administration would not tolerate any form of negligence or divided attention, noting that public officials are entrusted with responsibilities that demand full commitment and accountability.
Mr. Darazo added that the directive applies across board, including the FCT Minister, and aligns with the President’s determination to ensure discipline, focus, and optimal performance in the delivery of governance and public service.
