In a pivotal meeting, Major General Waidi Shaibu, Theatre Commander (TC) of the Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), emphasised the essential role of sustained collaboration among security agencies in addressing security challenges in the NE region and beyond.
During a courtesy visit from Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Zone 15, AIG Abdu Umar, at the Headquarters Theatre Command in Maiduguri, General Shaibu highlighted the significant progress made through joint operations and intelligence sharing.
He expressed confidence that continued cooperation between the military and police would further resolve ongoing security issues.
Praising AIG Umar’s substantial contributions, General Shaibu underscored the importance of their effective working relationship in maintaining peace in the region.
AIG Umar, in turn, lauded the efforts and support of the TC and military personnel in combating insurgency and other security challenges.
He stressed that the efficiency of police work in the NE has been greatly enhanced due to military support and assured that joint operations would persist to achieve total peace in the region.
The visit concluded with an exchange of plaques and a group photograph, attended by notable figures including the Deputy Theatre Commander, Commissioner of Police Borno State, component commanders, and the Chief of Staff Theatre Command.
