Traditional ruler lauds Gov. Obiano on peace initiatives
Igwe Dennis Ezebuilo, the Ogbuodudu 11 of the Amanuke Eri Kingdom in Anambra, has commended Gov. Willie Obiano for ensuring lasting peace in Ugbene in Awka North Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
The traditional ruler gave the commendation in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to him, the restoration of peace in the community followed the recognition of Igwe Samson Chimakwa as the traditional ruler of Ugbene and Igwe Elochukwu Mbannefo as the traditional ruler of Orsumoghu in Ihiala LGA among others.
He said that Obiano’s action has resulted in unprecedented peace in the community.
Ezebuilo, however, called on the governor to use his good office to ensure lasting peace in other communities that were experiencing leadership crisis in the state.
He prayed God to grant the newly recognised traditional rulers more wisdom to precide over events at their various areas with the fear of God.
Ezebuilo also prayed that the traditional rulers would ensure unprecedented development and upliftment of their people.
