Following the stakeholder engagement on September 10, 2023, and in accordance with Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) Major General AE Abubakar’s commitment to bring all criminals in Southern Kaduna and vicinity to justice, the troops have apprehended the killer of Mrs. Dorathy Jonathan, who was brutally murdered on Friday, September 1, 2023, while gathering firewood in Afana village in the Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The murderer, Lot Dauda, was apprehended through a manhunt started by troops of Operations SAFE HAVEN who acted swiftly based on reliable intelligence acquired.

Lot Dauda admitted to having committed the crime alongside an accomplice (name withheld) now at large.
The murderer said that he approached Mrs. Dorathy while she was working on a farm and tried to forcefully get personal with her, but she resisted and was brutally murdered as a result.
The other accomplice is still being sought, however, the arrested suspect will be charged with a crime once the investigation is over.
