Amid the Crisis in Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Nigeria and Overseas, the call for unity, truth, and reconciliation echoes loudly across the divided factions. As members of the Body of Christ, we are reminded of the importance of heeding the Scriptures that call us to be of one mind, to live in harmony, and to pursue peace among brethren. The Church’s Motto of One Fold, One Shepherd, coupled with the ancient prophetic utterance that “God laid just one mat for CAC Nigeria and Overseas,” serves as a reminder of the divine mandate for oneness and unity within the Church. In this theological engagement, we delve into the heart of the matter, exploring the significance of unity, truth, and reconciliation within the CAC community, drawing insights from the Word of God to guide us toward healing and restoration.
On the 22nd of March 2025, during a recent discussion on CAC Nigeria and Overseas, poignant questions were raised regarding the call for unity within the Christ Apostolic Church. Acknowledging that falsehoods and deceit have no place within our community is essential. Upon closer examination, parallels emerge between the situations involving Osegenre’s leaders and GEC in different years, hinting at a common thread of attempted misappropriation and dishonesty surrounding certificates. Aligning with the belief that the Remnants of CAC embody authentic leadership akin to King David’s principles, there is a resolute call to return to ancient landmarks and pursue revival and unity based on truth alone. By delving deeper into this narrative, we can discern which faction within CAC mirrors various Biblical figures, ultimately highlighting the Remnants as the carriers of the Key of David in this intricate tapestry of faith and leadership.
Consider the complexities and challenges Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) faces in Nigeria and abroad. Reflecting on the divine call to unity fundamental to the church’s essence is essential. As we navigate the intricacies of leadership, authenticity, and spiritual alignment, it becomes clear that the key to resolving conflicts and fostering unity lies in embracing the truth and demonstrating the principles exemplified by King David.
The issues surrounding the acquisition of certificates and the quest for authority within CAC bear striking resemblances to Biblical narratives of power struggles and divine ordination. Just as King David exemplified authentic leadership and unwavering obedience to God, the Remnants of CAC are called to embody the same spirit of humility, truth, and unity in navigating through the challenges confronting the church.
In aligning with the position that the Remnants of CAC hold the Key of David in this matter, we are reminded of the Biblical mandate to return to the ancient landmarks and uphold the foundational truths that guide us in our spiritual journey. Like David, who faced giants and overcame insurmountable odds through faith and obedience, the Remnants of CAC are called to stand firm in their convictions, trusting in the divine guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
As we meditate on the parallels between Biblical narratives and the current realities within CAC Nigeria and Overseas, let us heed the call to unity, reconciliation, and revival within the church. Just as David’s faith and courage led him to victory, may the Remnants of CAC be emboldened to rise above discord and division, uniting under the banner of truth and righteousness.
Essentially, may we earnestly seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in navigating through the complexities and challenges that confront us, trusting in the divine call to unity and embracing the principles of authentic leadership and unwavering faith. Remember that the Key of David is entrusted to us as a symbol of divine authority and responsibility, guiding us in our pursuit of unity, truth, and revival within CAC Nigeria and Overseas.

In light of the ongoing crisis within CAC Nigeria and Overseas, it is evident that the Peace and Reconciliation committees or movements have consistently been led by faction leaders. Shouldn’t members now play significant roles in shaping the future direction of these initiatives, and if so, how can this be achieved? Considering the prophetic wisdom shared by the First General Evangelist of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, on this issue, it serves as a prophetic message for the entire church.
It is indeed crucial to consider restructuring the approach to peace and reconciliation efforts within the organisation. While the Peace and Reconciliation committees or movements have traditionally been led by leaders of the factions, it is now imperative to involve members in more prominent roles to foster a broader sense of ownership, inclusivity, and collaborative decision-making in the reconciliation process.
Incorporating members into key roles in the peace and reconciliation efforts can help bring diverse perspectives, ideas, and experiences to the table, thereby enriching the dialogue and fostering a greater sense of unity and solidarity within the church. By empowering members to actively participate in conflict resolution initiatives, CAC can cultivate a culture of shared responsibility, collective engagement, and mutual respect, which are essential for promoting lasting peace and reconciliation.
One way to involve members in important roles in the peace and reconciliation process is by creating platforms for open dialogue, feedback mechanisms, and participatory decision-making channels that facilitate active member engagement and input. This can be achieved through town hall meetings, focus group discussions, surveys, and other interactive forums that allow members to voice their concerns, perspectives, and suggestions for resolving conflicts and fostering reconciliation.
Furthermore, leveraging the prophetic insights of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, the First General Evangelist of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, can serve as a guiding light for the church in navigating through these challenging times. His prophetic messages regarding the importance of unity, peace, and reconciliation should be heeded as a call to action for all members to come together, set aside differences, and work towards a common goal of healing, restoration, and unity within the church.
By embracing the prophetic wisdom of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola and actively involving members in key roles in the peace and reconciliation efforts, CAC can pave the way for a more inclusive, transparent, and sustainable approach to conflict resolution that aligns with its core values and vision for a harmonious and united church community.

Is it not time for the Truth to triumph in CAC Nigeria and Overseas? It is imperative that leaders within the various factions acknowledge their wrongdoings and offer a heartfelt explanation as to why the founders of the Church, who were instrumental in the creation of the 1985 Certificate of Incorporation, were correct in their actions and continue to be so. Even after their passing, can they not affirm that the Certificate rightfully belongs to all members of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, as ordained by the Church’s Motto of One Fold, One Shepherd, and in alignment with the ancient prophetic proclamation that “God laid just one mat for CAC Nigeria and Overseas”?
The call for truth to prevail in CAC Nigeria and Overseas is urgent and essential for the unity, integrity, and spiritual well-being of the Church. It is imperative that they grasp the enduring relevance and importance of the principles and values championed by these forward-thinking leaders for the continual advancement and prosperity of CAC Nigeria and Overseas. The Certificate of Incorporation, in line with the Church’s revered Motto of One Fold, One Shepherd, is a powerful emblem of unity and solidarity among all CAC members, transcending individual distinctions and factional divisions. On multiple occasions, our esteemed General Secretary and former President of the Mission, Baba Pastor Nelson Udofia, emphatically asserted that the 1985 Certificate of Incorporation rightfully belongs to the entire CAC Nigeria and Overseas and should only be entrusted to the United CAC Nigeria and Overseas.
Furthermore, the ancient prophetic utterance that “God laid just one mat for CAC Nigeria and Overseas” underscores the divine mandate for unity, harmony, and cooperation among all members of the Church. It serves as a reminder that CAC is a single entity under the divine guidance and protection of God, with a shared mission and purpose to spread the Gospel and bring Salvation to humanity.
