Youth Policy Dialogue: Empowering Next Generation Leaders

A groundbreaking initiative, Youth Policy Dialogue, is equipping young individuals with the essential political leadership skills to drive evidence-based policy influencing.
Mr Nicholas Oshojo Afeso, Executive Director Leadtots made the assertion at the grand finale of Youth Policy Dialogue (YouthPoD) 2024 on Saturday in Bauchi.

He said the Youth Democracy Debate (YDD) Program is implemented by LEADTOTS supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
Afeso pointed out that the empowering programme aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders who can effectively advocate for change and promote sustainable development

According to the ED, the key objectives of Youth Policy Dialogue are to advocate for laws that protect and empower young people.
“Ensure equal opportunities and justice for all, foster youth involvement in decision-making processes and encourage inclusive and youth-friendly policies,” he said
In a remark, The State Commissioner’ for Sports and Youth Development Mohammed Salis, represented by Director in the Ministry Alhaji Mohammed Sinyi commended LEADTOTS and collaborators for coming up with such an initiative.
“By engaging in meaningful policy dialogue, we can empower young people to become active participants in shaping their own futures.
He assured that the state government is ready to partner with such organizations to foster development of youth in the society.
The Stakeholders in attendance include Government officials, CSOs People with Disability, legislators, politicians, policy experts and Media partners.
