Folashade Oluwafemiayo Wins Nigeria’s Final Gold at Islamic Solidarity Games

Nigeria’s powerlifting superstar, Folashade Oluwafemiayo, has secured the country’s 11th and final gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh.

The world record holder and Olympic champion dominated the women’s heavyweight Para Powerlifting event, lifting an incredible 165kg to claim gold. Her performance placed her miles ahead of her competitors — Kudratoy Koshpulatova, who finished second, and Asma Issa, who came third.

Oluwafemiayo’s victory added a remarkable finish to Nigeria’s overall performance at the Games, further cementing her legacy as one of the greatest Para Powerlifters of all time.
