Under the plan, Europe aims to challenge the dominance of the “Big Five” U.S. tech companies by investing in a “EuroStack” of independent technologies. This includes cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and semiconductor development, with the goal of creating a self-sufficient digital ecosystem that relies on European infrastructure rather than foreign systems.
Experts say the initiative could reshape the global tech landscape, empowering European companies while reducing exposure to foreign digital influence.
