Olu of Warri Welcomes Governor Oborevwori as Omadino Model Technical College Is Commissioned in Delta

Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, the Olu of Warri, has graciously received His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, alongside other distinguished guests, as the Governor officially commissioned the Omadino Model Technical College in Omadino, Warri South Local Government Area.

The commissioning marked the formal inauguration of the institution and highlighted the strong partnership between the Delta State Government and the Warri Kingdom in advancing education and infrastructural development across the region.

Commending the Governor for the timely completion of the project, His Majesty described the college as a flagship investment in technical and vocational education. He noted that the facility is equipped with modern classrooms, workshops, laboratories, hostels, staff quarters, and other essential amenities aimed at producing skilled professionals, entrepreneurs, and wealth creators.

According to the Olu of Warri, the institution’s emphasis on practical and industry-relevant skills will play a critical role in tackling youth unemployment while promoting self-reliance among young people in the kingdom and beyond.

During the event, His Majesty also called for sustained infrastructural development in Itsekiri riverine communities, a request that received a positive response from Governor Oborevwori.

The Warri monarch commended the Delta State Government for delivering what he described as a transformative project and urged the host community and all stakeholders to protect the facilities and maximise their potential for the benefit of the youth and the kingdom at large.
