NNPC Ltd Board Secretary Presents Safety by Design Award to Ørsted at International Energy Week

Adesua Dozie, General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of NNPC Limited, presented the Safety by Design Award to Ørsted during the International Energy Week held in London February 2026.

The award recognized Ørsted’s innovative Cargo Drone Lifting project, a system that deploys automated drones to transport tools and equipment to offshore wind turbine locations that are difficult to access. By eliminating the need for workers to climb heights or manually handle heavy loads, the project significantly reduces high-risk cargo transfers and enhances offshore safety standards.

International Energy Week convenes policymakers, industry leaders, investors, regulators, technology developers, and energy experts to deliberate on global energy security, transition strategies, investment opportunities, and sustainability goals.

The recognition underscores growing collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the global energy sector, particularly in advancing safer and more efficient renewable energy operations.
