The All Progressives Congress has approved a further extension of key timelines for the sale and submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, as well as the screening of aspirants ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
According to a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the extension is aimed at providing additional time for prospective aspirants to complete the necessary processes.
Under the revised schedule, the sale of nomination forms has been extended to midnight on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, while the deadline for submission of completed forms is now midnight on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The party also announced that the screening of aspirants will take place from Friday, May 8 to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Following the screening exercise, the APC is expected to publish the list of cleared aspirants on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
The development comes as political activities begin to intensify across party lines in preparation for the 2027 elections, with stakeholders closely monitoring nomination processes and internal party arrangements.
