Tony Elumelu to Succeed Senator Udoma as Seplat Chairman in January 2027

Nigerian businessman and investor Tony Elumelu has expressed gratitude following his appointment as the incoming Chairman of Seplat Energy, pledging to lead the company through its next phase of growth and value creation.

Elumelu, who is scheduled to assume the position in January 2027, said he was honoured to succeed Udoma Udo Udoma and build on the foundation laid by the current leadership.

In a statement, Elumelu highlighted the importance of indigenous resources in driving economic transformation across Nigeria and the African continent.

“I am honoured to succeed Senator Udoma as Chairman in January 2027 and to lead the Board through Seplat’s next phase of growth. He also expressed appreciation to Senator Udoma and Roger Brown for their stewardship of the company and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering sustained value for shareholders.

Elumelu further congratulated Okon on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, describing him as a seasoned industry professional capable of steering the company’s future growth.
