The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has inaugurated its Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) at its National Headquarters in Abuja as part of efforts to strengthen accountability, transparency and ethical conduct within the organisation.

The inauguration and induction ceremony was conducted on behalf of the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) by the Director of the Commission’s System Study and Review Department, Mr. Kupolati Kayode Olatunji.

The FRSC said the establishment of the unit demonstrates its commitment to institutionalising transparency, accountability and ethical leadership in the discharge of its responsibilities.

Speaking at the event, the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, reaffirmed the Corps’ zero-tolerance policy on corruption, describing integrity as a fundamental pillar of his administration.

He said the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit would serve as a strategic platform for promoting accountability, preventing corrupt practices and strengthening public confidence in the Corps.

According to the Corps Marshal, the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve institutional governance and ensure that FRSC personnel uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in service delivery.
