Gov. Uba Sani Commissions Key Road Projects in Kwoi, Reaffirms Commitment to Inclusive Development

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has commissioned six major road projects in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area, describing the development as the fulfilment of a promise made to the people and a demonstration of his administration’s commitment to equitable infrastructure development across the state.

The commissioned projects include Audu Tilo Road, Sabon Gari Road, Doctor Sani Road, Hospital Road, Kpop Ham Palace Road and the strategic Kwoi–Gora Road.

Speaking during the inauguration on Tuesday, Governor Uba Sani said he was delighted to return to Kwoi after the groundbreaking ceremony held on September 11, 2025, to fulfil the commitment made to residents.

According to him, the warm reception by the people reflected the confidence they have in his administration and reaffirmed the importance of delivering on campaign promises.

“There is no greater fulfilment in public service than returning to a community to demonstrate that promises made have indeed become promises kept,” the governor said.

Governor Uba Sani noted that Jaba Local Government Area had gone for more than two decades without the completion of any major road project and was among the 12 local government areas that experienced prolonged neglect in road infrastructure.

He, however, said the narrative had changed under his administration.

The governor disclosed that since assuming office on May 29, 2023, his administration has initiated 150 road projects covering more than 1,355 kilometres across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, with the majority already completed.

He said the newly commissioned roads would improve access to schools, healthcare facilities and markets while boosting agricultural activities in Jaba, one of Nigeria’s leading ginger-producing areas.

Governor Uba Sani also said the projects would enhance mobility, promote economic activities and improve the quality of life of residents.

He expressed appreciation for the positive feedback from community leaders and other stakeholders, who described the road projects as transformative investments that have restored hope and opened new opportunities for trade, agriculture and social development.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to implementing projects based on fairness, equity and justice, irrespective of ethnicity, religion or political affiliation.

“Our vision remains unwavering: to build a Kaduna State where every community is included, every citizen is valued, and every part of the state shares equitably in the dividends of sustainable development,” he said.
