Abu Arief Foundation Supports Yobe Poets to Participate in MPS Media Poetry Challenge in Bauchi
In a continued effort to promote youth talent and support emerging poets from Yobe State, the Abu Arief Community Development Foundation has facilitated the participation of shortlisted contestants from the state in the MPS Media Poetry Challenge Competition – Arewa Edition, Northeast Zone, currently holding in Bauchi.
The Foundation provided local transportation for participating contestants to designated take-off points in Damaturu and Potiskum, before securing two 18-seater buses from the Yobe State Government to convey the contestants to and from Bauchi.
The buses were provided following a request to the Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Dr. Mohammed Goje, who approved the transportation arrangement as part of efforts to support young people and promote their talents.
All contestants who opted for the free transportation have arrived safely in Bauchi and have been duly documented by the MPS Media official team ahead of the competition’s opening ceremony.
Foundation Accompanies Young Poets
To further encourage and support the contestants throughout the competition, the Abu Arief Community Development Foundation constituted a delegation to accompany them to Bauchi.

Also accompanying the delegation is the VOTFY TV Official Team, comprising Khalid Yusuf Abubakar, Lead Executive, and Muhammad Balarabe Abdullahi, Reporter.
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Abubakar Ibn Usman, also joined the delegation in Bauchi after concluding an official engagement outside the country, ahead of the opening ceremony.
Foundation Commends Yobe Government
The Foundation expressed appreciation to the Yobe State Government for providing the buses and supporting the participation of the young contestants.
It particularly commended the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mohammed Goje, for approving the request and for his continued support for youth development and credible community initiatives.
The Foundation also wished all Yobe contestants participating in the competition success, including those who made alternative transportation arrangements.
It encouraged the young poets to use the platform to showcase their creativity, represent Yobe State with pride and inspire other young people to pursue their talents.

The Foundation said its continued support for the contestants reflects its broader commitment to youth empowerment, education, creativity and community development, particularly by creating opportunities for young people to showcase their talents beyond the state.
