Fusion774 Pays Courtesy Visit to Emir of Biu
Fusion774 has paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Biu, HRH Widala Mustapha Umar, at his palace to seek his royal blessings and to help prevail Amb. Tukur Yusuf Buratai to run for president in 2023 presidential election.
Speaking during the visit National Coordinator, Comrade Mr Sadiq Jikta said they came to seek HRH’s royal blessings and to solicit his support to prevail on Amb. Buratai to yield to their call and contest for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the forthcoming 2023 elections.
Mr Jikta, stated that the main reason for the call was borne out of the rising cases of insecurity which has virtually affected every part of the country’s economy.
Furthermore, he said that people can no longer move freely nor sleep well at night for the fear of one attack or the other.
“Investors no longer want to patronize Nigeria based on insecurity, even those already on ground are folding up and relocating out of Nigeria”, he added.
Continuing, he said that the huge gap in the unemployment index and untold hardship insecurity had brought to the general public has necessitated Fusion 774 to call on him to run for the office of the president.
“Fusion 774, as the name implies, and having like minds across the seven hundred and seventy-four local government areas of Nigeria, came together to brainstorm and decided that we need a change for a credible and visionary leader with the willpower to put a total stop to the insecurity palava affecting us as a country…”
Mr. Sadiq Jikta cited various institutional reforms that Amb. Buratai put in place while he was the chief of army staff (COAS), which he also exhibited on several occasions, and described him as a detribalized Nigerian.
“Amb. Buratai is the only COAS that commanded from the front in the fight against Boko Haram and assiduously worked for the unity of the country. He neutralized the strength of Boko Haram,” he concluded.
In his contribution, Dr. Abubakar Muhammad Sani said that the call for Amb. Buratai to contest for the position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was not just from the group alone but also the yearning and aspiration of Nigerians from all walks of life.
In his response, HRH Midala Mustapha Umar, The Emir of Biu, represented by Barr. Ibrahim Shehu Birma (the Brima of Biu), appreciated the group and commended them for the courtesy visit which he said was a welcomed development.
According to him, Amb. T Y Buratai (Lt- Gen. Rtd) is their kinsman who has shown that he is a man of the people, a detribalized personality that has a heart for infrastructural development and economic stability.
He cited the Nigerian Army University that Buratai single-handedly attracted to Biu, and of course with the approval from the president of Nigeria
He further said that Buratai is a man of dignity and integrity, and therefore deserves such a call to serve his nation and contribute his quota to national service to end the problem of insecurity that has ravaged the nation.
He expressed joy that Fusion 774 represents the nation as political support and socio-economic group and encouraged the group to keep the drive on the front burner to ensure stability in the political space.
