AbdulSamad Rabiu Takes Delivery of Bombardier Global 8000 Jet

Nigerian billionaire and Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has reportedly taken delivery of a Bombardier Global 8000, regarded as Bombardier’s flagship ultra-long-range business jet.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen the corporate aviation capabilities of BUA Group as the conglomerate continues to expand its operations across multiple international markets.

The Global 8000 is designed for long-haul executive travel, offering a non-stop range of approximately 8,000 nautical miles. The aircraft is capable of connecting major global destinations such as Lagos and New York, as well as Dubai and Houston, without the need for refueling stops.

Industry observers note that the aircraft’s range and speed could provide significant operational advantages for a diversified business group with interests spanning cement production, food manufacturing, infrastructure development, and energy.

The new addition reportedly joins BUA Group’s existing corporate fleet, which includes a Bombardier Challenger 350 and a Bombardier Global 6500.

As BUA Group expands its presence across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, enhanced executive mobility is expected to support faster decision-making, improved cross-border coordination, and greater operational flexibility.

The development underscores the growing role of private aviation in supporting the strategic activities of major African corporations with international business interests.
