Burna Boy Debuts Freestyle at AfroNation Portugal, References New Custom Bugatti
Nigerian music star Burna Boy thrilled fans during his headline performance at the 2026 AfroNation Festival in Portugal, where he delivered a freestyle referencing his newly acquired custom Bugatti Chiron.
Performing shortly after celebrating his 35th birthday on July 3, the Grammy-winning artist rapped: “I buy Bugatti, dem ask which road I go drive am? No be today we dey do road like Julius Berger,” drawing loud reactions from the audience.
The freestyle quickly became one of the standout moments of the festival, with fans praising Burna Boy’s blend of humour, confidence and signature stage presence.
The lyrics referenced his recently unveiled one-of-a-kind Venuum Widebody Bugatti Chiron, a custom-built hypercar reportedly valued at more than $5 million. The luxury vehicle, designed by Dubai-based Venuum Black, features an aggressive widebody design, carbon-fibre aerodynamic components and a 1,500-horsepower W16 engine.
The purchase has generated widespread attention on social media, with many describing it as one of the most expensive privately owned vehicles in West Africa.
Burna Boy’s performance and latest acquisition have further reinforced his reputation as one of Africa’s biggest global music stars, known for combining commercial success with an extravagant lifestyle.
