A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has ordered the arrest of Kabiru Turaki, a factional national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), over his failure to appear in court.

The order was issued on Thursday by Justice U.P. Kekemeke, who held that Turaki had no justification for his absence in a case filed by the Inspector-General of Police.

Turaki, a former minister, is expected to respond to the charges brought against him, with the court insisting on his appearance to proceed with the matter.

The development marks a significant turn in the legal proceedings, as authorities move to enforce compliance with court directives.
