WHEN DECEPTION BECOMES A SPIRITUAL ECONOMY: WHY CAC MEMBERS MUST STOP FUNDING FALSEHOOD IF THEY WANT THEIR PRAYERS ANSWERED
By Professor Ojo Emmanuel Ademola, General Evangelist, CAC Nigeria & Overseas
INTRODUCTION: THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOW EXAMINING THE FINANCIAL ALTARS OF THE CHURCH
Across Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, the Holy Spirit is shining His light not only upon doctrinal distortions and historical manipulations, but upon the financial altars that have empowered deception, prolonged division, and resisted revival. In recent weeks, many members and ministers have reached out with a sobering question: How do we help CAC members stop funding deception and withdraw financial support from factions resisting truth and unity?

This question is not administrative, political, or sentimental. It is profoundly spiritual. Wherever money flows, spiritual power grows; and wherever deception is funded, deception is strengthened. The Holy Spirit is now confronting the economy of falsehood within CAC, just as Jesus confronted the money‑changers in the Temple. The same zeal that drove Him to cleanse the Temple is the same zeal now calling us to purify the financial foundations of the Church.
JESUS CLEANSED THE TEMPLE BECAUSE CORRUPT FINANCES HINDERED PRAYER
Before Jesus taught, healed, or preached in the Temple, He confronted the financial corruption that had polluted its courts. “My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.” (Matthew 21:13). He began with the money‑changers because the corruption in the Temple’s economy was blocking the flow of prayer and revival.
The same spiritual law applies today. Christ Apostolic Church cannot experience unity, revival, or apostolic restoration while tithes and offerings are diverted into factional warfare, while resources sustain illegitimate structures, while money is weaponised to strengthen deception, and while innocent believers unknowingly fund rebellion against truth. Jesus did not negotiate with the money‑changers; He overthrew their tables. The Holy Spirit is calling us to do the same.
FUNDING DECEPTION IS A SPIRITUAL PARTNERSHIP WITH DARKNESS
Many CAC members are sincere, prayerful, and sacrificial, yet sincerity without discernment becomes vulnerability. When a believer gives money to a faction built on deception, they unknowingly enter into spiritual partnership with that deception. Scripture commands: “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11). Fellowship is not only physical; it is financial. To fund deception is to empower it. To support rebellion is to become part of it. This is not condemnation; it is divine correction.
MANY PRAYERS ARE HINDERED BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE FUNDING WHAT GOD IS FIGHTING
This is the part many believers do not understand: you cannot pray for God’s blessing while funding what God is judging. You cannot ask for financial breakthrough while your money strengthens falsehood. You cannot cry for open heavens while your giving supports rebellion. Heaven does not respond to prayers that contradict the principles of God.
Scripture is clear: “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” (Psalm 66:18). And again: “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper.” (Proverbs 28:13). Many CAC members are praying, “Lord, use me… Lord, bless me… Lord, enlarge my coast… Lord, open doors for me…” yet heaven remains silent because their giving is aligned with deception, not truth. You cannot sow into falsehood and reap divine favour. You cannot fund rebellion and expect revival. You cannot support deception and expect destiny acceleration. This is why many prayers remain unanswered.
And this is where the Parable of the Sower becomes a prophetic mirror for our generation. Jesus taught that the seed is the Word of God, but the soil determines the harvest. Some seed fell by the wayside, some on stony ground, some among thorns, and some on good soil. The seed did not fail; the soil failed. The harvest was not determined by the seed; it was determined by the environment that received it.
Many believers today are sowing prayers, sowing fasting, sowing service, sowing tears—but their financial soil is polluted. Their giving is falling among thorns—thorns of deception, thorns of rebellion, thorns of falsehood. And Jesus said, “The thorns sprang up and choked them.” (Matthew 13:7). This is why their harvest is choked. Their prayers are choked. Their breakthroughs are choked. Their destiny advancement is choked.
The Parable of the Sower teaches us that God does not bless seed planted in the wrong soil. Even good seed cannot flourish in corrupt ground. Even sincere prayers cannot prosper in deceptive environments. Even genuine sacrifices cannot produce results when the heart—and the giving—is aligned with falsehood.
But Jesus also said that when seed falls on good ground, it brings forth fruit—“some thirtyfold, some sixtyfold, some an hundredfold.” (Matthew 13:8). This is the encouragement for every sincere believer: the moment you shift your giving, your loyalty, your alignment, and your obedience back to truth, your harvest will change. When your seed enters good soil, your life will enter a new season. When your giving aligns with righteousness, your heavens will open again. When your financial obedience returns to truth, your prayers will ascend unhindered.
The Parable of the Sower is God’s gentle reminder that your harvest is not delayed because God is unwilling; it is delayed because your seed is misplaced. The moment you plant in truth, you will reap in truth. The moment you sow into righteousness, you will reap righteousness. The moment you withdraw from deception, your spiritual atmosphere will shift.
This is the hour for every CAC member to examine not only what they pray, but where they sow. For the soil you support determines the harvest you receive. And the God who sees in secret will reward openly when your seed, your heart, and your obedience return to the path of truth.
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CALLING FOR A FINANCIAL EXODUS FROM FALSEHOOD
Just as Israel was commanded to stop bringing offerings to corrupt priests, the Holy Spirit is calling CAC members to withdraw financial support from any faction resisting truth, to stop giving to structures built on deception, to refuse to fund any group that rejects repentance, and to redirect their giving to truth‑aligned, Spirit‑led platforms. This is not rebellion; this is obedience. “Come out from among them, and be ye separate.” (2 Corinthians 6:17). Separation is not only physical; it is financial.
THE ECONOMY OF DECEPTION MUST COLLAPSE FOR UNITY TO EMERGE
Division in CAC has been sustained not only by false narratives and forged documents, but by financial pipelines that empower factions to build parallel structures, fund propaganda, manipulate vulnerable members, sustain illegitimate leadership, and resist truth and accountability. Until the economy of deception collapses, unity will remain an illusion. “For the love of money is the root of all evil.” (1 Timothy 6:10). Where deception thrives, money is always involved. Where truth is resisted, money is always at stake. This is why the Holy Spirit is exposing the financial roots of the crisis.
MEMBERS MUST EXAMINE WHY THEIR PRAYERS ARE DELAYED
This is the hour for every CAC member to pause and ask with sincerity of heart: Why are my prayers delayed? Why is my financial breakthrough not manifesting? Why is my destiny not advancing? Why is my spiritual life stagnant? These are not abstract questions; they are spiritual diagnostics. And the answer, though painful, is profoundly simple: you are funding what God is fighting.
God cannot bless what He is judging.
God cannot endorse what He is exposing.
God cannot prosper what He is purifying.
Heaven does not respond to prayers that contradict divine order. When your giving strengthens deception, your prayers collide with the very judgment of God. When your resources uphold falsehood, your petitions rise from polluted altars. When your loyalty empowers rebellion, your spiritual atmosphere becomes heavy and unresponsive.
Your giving must align with truth if your prayers must ascend. Your seed must align with righteousness if your harvest must manifest. Your financial obedience must align with God’s will if your destiny must advance. You cannot sow into deception and reap divine intervention.
But now that you know the truth, you must not keep it to yourself. Truth is not given for private comfort; truth is given for communal liberation. Jesus said, “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it under a bushel.” Truth must shine. Truth must speak. Truth must travel. Truth must be shared.
This is the moment for every CAC member who has received understanding to rise with holy boldness and say to fellow members: “Come out of deception. Stop funding falsehood. Align your giving with truth. Let us return to the ancient paths.” The Body of Christ is healed when the members speak truth to one another. The Church is restored when the brethren encourage one another in righteousness. Revival begins when the people awaken together.
Do not assume others know what you now know. Many are still trapped in ignorance, manipulated by leaders who understand the truth but refuse to teach it. Many are still sowing into thorns, wondering why their harvest is choked. Many are still financing rebellion, wondering why their heavens are brass. Many are still supporting deception, wondering why their spiritual lives are dry.
You are now a bearer of light.
You are now a custodian of truth.
You are now a witness of what God is revealing.
Share it.
Declare it.
Explain it.
Spread it.
Let your voice become a trumpet in your assembly. Let your testimony become a seed of awakening. Let your courage become a catalyst for others. When truth spreads among the members, deception loses its power. When light multiplies, darkness retreats. When the people know the truth, the truth makes them free.
This is not the time to be silent.
This is not the time to be timid.
This is not the time to be neutral.
This is the time to stand.
This is the time to speak.
This is the time to shine.
For the Spirit of God is saying to CAC members everywhere:
“Now that you know the truth, walk in it—and lead others into it.”
THE PATH TO UNITY AND REVIVAL IS CLEAR
Unity will not come through committees, conferences, diplomacy, sentiment, or negotiation. Unity will come through truth, repentance, purification, courage, financial realignment, and the sovereign move of the Holy Spirit. When the money‑changers are removed, when the economy of deception collapses, and when the members stop funding falsehood, revival will break forth.
