Breaking: Buhari appoints Maj-Gen Yahaya as Chief of Army Staff

Information reaching us indicates that President Mohammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Major General Farouk Yahaya as the new Chief of Army Staff.

Prior to his appointment Major General Yahaya was the General commanding officer in charge of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army.

He was also the incumbent Theatre Commander of the Counter-terrorism Counter insurgency military outfit otherwise known as Operation HADIN KAI in the northeast.
