In a message brimming with warmth and gratitude, the Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Gwabin Musa has extended heartfelt Eid-el-Fitr greetings to all Muslim officers, soldiers, ratings, airmen/airwomen, and civilian staff of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN).
“This auspicious occasion, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, serves as a moment for reflection, forgiveness, and the pursuit of enduring peace for the nation.
He Emphasizing the importance of upholding virtues such as piety, honesty, tolerance, love, and unity.
The Chief of Defence Staff urged all members of the AFN to embody these principles beyond the confines of Ramadan.
Amidst the backdrop of ongoing security challenges across various theaters of operation, he called upon troops to maintain discipline, resilience, patriotism, and courage in their service to the nation.
Acknowledging the sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces, often at great personal cost, to ensure the peace and security of Nigeria, General Musa appealed to all Nigerians to extend their love and support to the AFN.
He also urged the nation to remember in their prayers the fallen comrades who have given their lives in service.
Reaffirming his commitment to the welfare and well-being of troops deployed in all theaters of operation, the Chief of Defence Staff expressed gratitude for the support the AFN continues to receive under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
