Commander 23 Brigade Emphasises Collaborative Security Efforts in Adamawa

In a bid to strengthen security collaboration, Brigadier General Paul Zawaya, Commander of the 23 Brigade, graciously welcomed the newly deployed Commissioner of Police (CP) for Adamawa State, CP Dancombo Morris. The meeting took place at the Headquarters of the 23 Brigade, Gibson Jalo Cantonment, Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.

During the interaction, Brigadier General Zawaya underscored the crucial role of cooperation and collaboration among various security agencies in ensuring peace and security for the people of Adamawa State. He pledged his full cooperation and support to CP Dancombo Morris, expressing readiness to maintain a 24-hour open-door policy of friendship and collaboration. General Zawaya emphasized, “Cooperation is a must among all security agencies as it is our collective responsibility to unite the country for a better state.”

General Zawaya stressed that the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies must work hand in hand, complementing each other’s efforts to achieve the common goal of creating a secure environment conducive for business growth.

In response, CP Dancombo Morris, accompanied by his management team, conveyed his visit as an opportunity to foster increased support and cooperation. He acknowledged the existing relationship between the Police Command and the 23 Brigade and expressed gratitude for the warm reception received. The Commissioner highlighted the importance of collaboration in combating insecurity, emphasising that security is a collective responsibility.

The visit included significant moments such as the exchange of mementoes, signing of the visitors’ book, and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
