The Dangote Group has announced a strategic partnership with the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) as the major sponsor of the 19th edition of the Abuja International Trade Fair, set to officially commence today.
Speaking to journalists, Sir Agabaidu Jideani, the Director General of ACCI, highlighted the collaborative nature of the partnership, emphasizing mutual goals of economic development and innovation.
“We share a commitment to driving economic growth and fostering innovation in key sectors of the economy,” he remarked.
This year’s Trade Fair, themed Mobility Options for Transportation, Trade Financing, and Taxation, is designed to enhance business networking and product visibility.
According to Jideani, the event offers a platform to promote collaboration and identify new opportunities for investment and innovation.
The DG further noted that the fair will focus on improving transportation logistics and streamlining trade finance and taxation processes.
“Efficient logistics and sustainable transport solutions can reduce costs and improve supply chain reliability,” he said, adding that these initiatives will enhance the business environment, stimulate growth, and create jobs.
The 12-day event is expected to attract over 500 exhibitors showcasing more than 10,000 products, services, and solutions to nearly 100,000 attendees.
In a statement, Dangote Industries Limited expressed its alignment with the fair’s theme, noting the importance of addressing the Nigerian economy’s mobility and trade finance challenges.
The company has also set up a help desk at its pavilion to assist participants, while showcasing its innovative products, including Dangote Fertiliser, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Cement, and more.
