IPMAN Seals Deal with Dangote Refinery for Direct Fuel Supply

By Matthew Eloyi

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has secured a landmark agreement with Dangote Refinery, granting its members direct access to petroleum products.

IPMAN National President, Abubakar Garima, announced this development in Abuja on Monday after a meeting with the Association’s National Working Committee.

Following discussions with Aliko Dangote and his management team, Garima said, “We’re pleased to announce that Dangote Refinery has agreed to supply IPMAN with PMS, AGO, and DPK directly for distribution to our depots and retail outlets.”

This partnership, he noted, will help stabilise and reduce the cost of petroleum products nationwide.

Garima urged IPMAN members to back the Dangote Refinery, emphasising benefits such as reduced reliance on foreign exchange through local supply.

On pricing, he expressed optimism that negotiations would lead to favorable rates.

Addressing the Association’s plans to support Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) distribution, Garima shared that IPMAN is working with the presidential CNG initiative to transition seamlessly to CNG refill stations across the country.

Dangote Refinery committed to supplying over 30,000 IPMAN members and 150,000 retail outlets nationwide, a move aimed at cutting out middlemen, reducing costs, and ensuring a steady fuel supply for consumers across Nigeria.
