Dangote Named OurNigeria News Magazine’s 2024 Man of the Year

OurNigeria News Magazine has named Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON, as its Man of the Year for 2024 in recognition of his groundbreaking contributions to Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
In a statement signed by the Publisher, MS Abubakar, PhD, the magazine revealed that its Editorial Board and the Nomination and Selection Committee, chaired by Sir Dr. Ak Etta Peters, unanimously ratified Dangote’s nomination.
According to the statement, the selection highlighted Dangote’s establishment of Nigeria’s first private petroleum refinery, the largest in Africa, which is expected to revolutionise the country’s oil and gas industry.
“We want to publicly acknowledge and commend the Dangote brand for this noble effort, as it will significantly transform the Nigerian oil and gas industry.,” the statement read.
The award ceremony, scheduled for January 30, 2025, will take place at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.It will be chaired by Alh. Abdulmutallab Umar, CON.
Dangote will be honoured alongside other distinguished Nigerians recognised for their contributions to the nation’s development.
