Davido Extends Congratulations to South African Rapper Tyla on Grammy Win

Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has extended congratulations to South African female rapper, Tyla, for clinching victory in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony.
Tyla’s track, ‘Water’, triumphed over tough competition including ‘Amapiano’ by Asake and Olamide, ‘City Boys’ by Burna Boy, ‘Unavailable’ by Davido featuring Musa Keys, and ‘Rush’ by Ayra Starr.
Despite not securing any wins for himself in his three nominations, Davido took to his social media handle early Monday to express his joy and support for Tyla’s achievement, tweeting, “Congratulations on your win @Tyllaaaaaaa! Big One for Africa! Keep soaring!”
