Fake Video: Disqualify Uzodimma, APC —PDP tells INEC
By Matthew Atungwu
With less than twenty-four hours to go before the Imo State governorship race, the Peoples Democratic Party has urged the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Governor Hope Uzodimma.
In a statement released on Friday by Debo Ologunagba, the PDP’s national publicity secretary, the party said Uzodimma ought to be disqualified for allegedly funding a video that denigrated its candidate in an effort to deceive the state’s electorate.
According to a widely shared video on social media on Thursday, Sam Anyanwu, the PDP candidate, has urged his followers to vote for Uzodimma.

Ologunagba, who said that Anyanwu is not defeated but rather poised for success, denounced the video as fraudulent and chastised Uzodimma for supposedly, using a shady last-minute tactic to secure the PDP’s nominee out of the way.
He described it as concerning that the creators of the bogus film tried to trick Nigerians into thinking it was a TVC news broadcast.
He applauded TVC’s management for their bravery in swiftly denying and denouncing the phoney video’s legitimacy and misleading the people of Imo State by using the TVC name, logo, and inscription.
The PDP asked the people of Imo State to ignore the aforementioned video and reiterated that Anyanwu is still very much in the running for governor.
