From his early days as a cadet at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Musa demonstrated a rare combination of intellect, resilience, and leadership. Commissioned into the Infantry Corps in 1991, he quickly rose through the ranks, distinguishing himself in multiple operations, including Operation Hadin Kai, where he coordinated joint missions against insurgency in Nigeria’s northeast. His strategic insight and operational expertise earned him the respect of both his peers and the troops under his command.
