Gamji College Denies Report of 18 Students’ Abduction in Sokoto

The management of Gamji College of Health Technology, Sokoto, has dismissed as false reports that 18 of its students were abducted by suspected terrorists while travelling to Oyo State.

In a public statement signed by the Registrar, Bello Abdulrahman, and obtained by SpyeTV News, the institution described a report published by Sahara Reporters on October 5, 2026, as misleading and inconsistent with the actual situation.

The report had claimed that 18 students of the college were abducted while travelling to Oyo State and that the driver of the vehicle was killed during the incident.

However, the college management categorically denied the claim, stating that no student of Gamji College of Health Technology was kidnapped.

According to the statement, all students of the institution are safe and currently at their respective destinations, continuing their academic and professional programmes as scheduled.

The management urged parents, guardians, stakeholders and members of the public to disregard the report and refrain from circulating what it described as false information.

It reaffirmed its commitment to the safety and welfare of its students, adding that the institution would continue to collaborate with relevant security agencies to maintain a safe environment for learning and training.

The college further advised members of the public to rely on its official communication channels for accurate and up-to-date information about the institution and its students.
