Governor Zulum Commends President Tinubu and Armed Forces for Commitment to Peace

In a poignant acknowledgment during the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Annual Conference 2023, His Excellency, Professor Babagana Zulum, the Executive Governor of Borno State, extended heartfelt commendation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Armed Forces for their unwavering commitment to peace and security.

Governor Zulum, speaking at the conference themed “Personnel Motivation for Effective Operational Performance in a Joint Environment,” expressed deep appreciation for the tireless efforts of the Nigerian Army (NA) and other security agencies. He underscored the historical and strategic importance of Borno State in the fight against insurgents.

“President Tinubu’s presence at this conference is quite significant, and it underscored the commitment of Mr. President to the need to enthrone peace in the North East and by extension, Nigeria,”

Governor Zulum acknowledged the progress made by the Armed Forces in tackling insecurity and emphasised the importance of maintaining cordial working relationships with other security agencies in the state. He particularly praised the NA’s dedication to ensuring peace and security in Borno State and Nigeria at large.

In his address, the Governor urged service chiefs and formation commanders to continue their collaboration with other security agencies in the state. He recognised the sacrifices of the NA and encouraged the military to sustain its efforts in safeguarding the nation.

Governor Zulum’s commendation aligns with the progress made by the Armed Forces and highlights the pivotal role played by President Tinubu in providing visionary support for the security and well-being of citizens.
