Governor Zulum Dissolves Cabinet
The Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the dissolution of the Borno State Executive Council.
The Governor, in a statement today signed by the permanent secretary, Administration and General Services, Danjuma Ali, on behalf of Secretary to the State Government and made available to newsmen by his media aides at the Government House in Maiduguri said the dissolution is with immediate effect.
The members were directed to handover affairs to permanent secretaries in their ministries.
Governor Zulum explained that the action would create enabling environment for interested members of the EXCO to legally participate in the forthcoming primaries and congresses of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The Governor thanked outgoing members of the Executive Council for the unquantifiable contributions while in office and wishes them the best of luck in future endeavors.
