Health specialists have advised parents to be mindful of how often they bathe their newborns, especially those born prematurely or with very low birth weight. According to pediatric experts, while daily bathing is generally safe for most babies, the same routine does not apply to more fragile infants.

They emphasized that preterm babies and very small newborns should not be bathed every day, as frequent bathing can cause rapid heat loss and dry out their delicate skin. For these infants, extra care and shorter baths are recommended.
