Iran Warns “Everything Is on the Table” as Regional Tensions Escalate

The government of Iran has issued a stark warning that “everything is now on the table” following major military strikes reported across Tehran, signalling the possibility of retaliation beyond scenarios previously contemplated.

The warning comes amid a sharp escalation that followed a day of high-stakes confrontation. Satellite imagery circulating among analysts reportedly showed extensive damage to sites linked to Iran’s leadership, including claims involving the residence of Ali Khamenei, , though Iranian authorities have not publicly confirmed the extent of the damage.

The United States and Israel have since intensified their joint military posture, after Washington formally accused Tehran of beginning to take American citizens hostage—an allegation Iran has denied in past disputes.

The geopolitical fallout has widened. The United Arab Emirates stated it reserves the right to respond to any Iranian attacks, while Russia condemned the U.S. and Israel, accusing them of attempting to “destroy” the Iranian government.

In a pointed response, Russian official Dmitry Medvedev invoked Iran’s long civilizational history, contrasting the 2,500-year legacy of the Persian Empire with the United States’ comparatively shorter history—remarks interpreted by analysts as signalling Moscow’s view of Iran’s resilience under pressure.

By late Saturday, global security analysts warned that the “scenarios” referenced by Tehran could include direct actions affecting Western infrastructure or energy supplies. The situation remains highly fluid, with heightened security alerts across the region and no immediate signs of a ceasefire or diplomatic breakthrough.
