Israeli Army Discovers Approximately 1,500 Bodies of Hamas Militants within Israel
Approximately 1,500 bodies of Hamas militants have been discovered within Israel around the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army announced on Tuesday, amidst ongoing airstrikes targeting the Palestinian enclave.
“Approximately 1,500 bodies of Hamas (fighters) were found in Israel around the Gaza Strip,” military spokesman Richard Hecht informed reporters. He added that security forces had “more or less restored control over the border” with Gaza.
Hecht emphasized that no new infiltrations had occurred since the previous night, but he cautioned that such incidents were still possible.
The evacuation of communities around the border was reported to be nearing completion, according to Hecht, who also revealed that the military had deployed 35 battalions to the border area.

“We are building infrastructure for future operations,” he stated.
Israel has been grappling with a deadly attack initiated by Hamas militants who breached the border fence amidst a barrage of rocket fire on Saturday morning, resulting in the deaths of more than 900 people within Israel.
In response, Israel has launched a massive air and artillery bombardment campaign against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, leading to a reported death toll of at least 687 people in the coastal enclave.
In the early hours of Tuesday, the Israeli military conducted airstrikes on what it identified as Hamas targets in Gaza, particularly in the Rimal neighbourhood and the southern city of Khan Yunis.
